Infotrak Gen Z’s Poll Media Release July 18 2024
Gen Z Poll Report
A nationally representative telephone survey of 1,000 Kenyan Gen Zs (aged 18–27) across all 8 regions, capturing their views on the youth-led protests, the government's response, and reform priorities.
Methodology
Data Collection
Quantitative interviews were conducted through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) between 14th and 15th July 2024.
The survey achieved a sample of 1,000 respondents to represent Gen Zs who were aged 18-27 years at the time of the survey.
The sampling frame was designed using Population Proportionate to Size (PPS) guided by the 2019 Census.
Where the achieved interviews differed slightly from the intended sampled proportions per demographic group, the dataset was weighted to correct for over or under sampling, thus ensuring the sample was proportionately representative of the target population.
Coverage & Analysis
The survey covered all 8 regions of Kenya. To ensure national representativeness, the distribution of the survey sample across the regions was proportionately allocated.
Margin of error of ±3.099% at 95% degree of confidence, with a 94% response rate.
Data was processed and analyzed using SPSS 26 statistical software due to its high accuracy and reliability.
