The CountyTrakTM Performance Index is a unique tool that was designed by Infotrak Research &
Consulting Limited in 2015 with the core objective of ascertaining county citizenry assessment of the
performance of their county governments against a set of key performance indicators and to develop a
citizenry scorecard on the performance of their county governments. The fourth series of the
CountyTrak Performance Index was conducted in July and August 2023 to measure the performance of
the current county governors during their first year in office. The study had a robust sample size of
37,600 covering all the 47 counties, 290 constituencies, and 1450 wards.
