Release Date: Wednesday, 12th February, 2025

Methodology

The Infotrak Elected Leaders Performance Index 2024 provides
a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of elected leaders in Kenya,
including Members of Parliament (MPs), Senators, and Women Representatives. The
report is based on a robust methodology, covering all 47 counties, 290
constituencies, and 1,450 wards, with a total sample size of 59,600 respondents.

The data was collected through Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI)
and analyzed using SPSS, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and reliability.
The report offers valuable insights into the public's perception of their
leaders' performance, highlighting key factors that influence these ratings and
identifying top-performing leaders across various categories.

The CountyTrak methodology employed in
this report is the first of its kind in Kenya, providing detailed statistics on
the performance of elected leaders at the constituency level. The survey was
conducted between October and December 2024, with each constituency treated as
an individual universe.

The sampling frames were designed using population
proportionate to size, guided by the latest IEBC Voter Register, and catered to
demographics such as age and gender. The use of a 1-10 Likert scale allowed
respondents to rate their leaders' performance, with 1 being very poor and 10
being excellent. The average rating from each constituency determined the final
performance score of the elected leaders.
